TriStar PetroServ uses variable-speed, horizontal decanting centrifuges with the versatility to address a variety of refining and process industry needs. They can handle heavy solids and yield dry centrifuge cake (as required for decanted slurry oil bottoms), as well as maintain tight recovered oil specifications for applications such as wastewater and crude oil processing.

As needs change, centrifuges may easily be added or removed in modular fashion to minimize equipment costs.

TriStar utilizes Alfa Laval 414 & 418 variable speed horizontal decanters. This centrifuge design offers the greatest flexibility in addressing the needs of the refining and process industries. Their standing as workhorses of the industry is enhanced by their reliability and affordability.

The 414 model is used for processing heavy solids, such as decanted slurry oil bottoms where high-volume production with dry centrifuge cake is paramount.

The variable-speed backdrive on the 418 model makes it suitable for applications where a tight recovered oil specification is critical to the success of the project. Typical projects for this model include wastewater and crude oil processing.

The low cost of ownership and reliability of these units makes them ideal to place in train on large volume processing projects, such as annual or fixed-base sites where a refiner will concentrate their sludge processing for the entire facility.

In such projects, it is simple to manage processing capability in modular fashion, either adding or eliminating centrifuges as demand rises or falls over the life of the project.
